These release notes describe system requirements and features for Metacosm M1.1 release (Metacosm framework and ZHeroeZ game instance). Metacosm is a framework for computer role playing games in Java. An example called ZHeroeZ is also provided. Some of the project's objectives are object oriented design, world persistency (all actions should have a long term impact on the world), coherent time management (time is the same for everybody in the same world), a graphical editor, and choice in client user interface. All creatures can be player or AI controlled by design. *) System requirements - JRE (tested with Sun JDK 1.3.1_01 under GNU/Linux) - xerces - JSX (tested with 0.9.7) *) Changes since M1 version - A bugfix in Controllers load/save - A bugfix for connection (problem with charset encoding, causing password in clear on screen) - New functionnality: Raoul is now polite and says hello - Better documentation - Better packages *) Features - Basic implementation of world creation and management - Basic interactions - Basic management console (start, stop, restart, crash detection) - English and (partially) French support - Load/save - Multiplayer - Parser - Telnet connections support - Text interface
