Mediatex is a software to handle perenial archives.
Briefly, this means it provides the resources to overcome the technological obsolescence of supports and drives we use.

Mediatex'sources can be retrieved via GIT on the Savannah server, where a tarball is also available.
Debian packages...
# apt-get install mediatex
...are provided (for i386 and amd64 archirectures on debian and ubuntu lts distributions) by adding one of the folowing lines in your apt's sources list:
deb http://www.narval.fr.eu.org/debian stretch main deb http://www.narval.fr.eu.org/debian jessie main deb http://www.narval.fr.eu.org/debian wheezy main deb http://www.narval.fr.eu.org/debian trusty main deb http://www.narval.fr.eu.org/debian lucid main
and eventually get the repository's key too:
