Jedecma is a simple program to record and retrieve breast ultrasound examination data.

With this program physicians can enter breast ultrasound data, print reports for the patient and optionally store examination images.

Once stored, ultrasound examinations can be searched so that when patients come for a new examination, physicians can easily retrieve and read previous exams.

Data entry forms contain many informations such as anamnestic data, ultrasound data, tumor data.

The selection of these information is due to prof. Enzo Durante, an italian physician highly specialized in Breast Ultrasound and Ultrasound guided breast surgery who has been active for decades as surgeon and former Head of Institute of General Surgery at University of Ferrara/Italy and now is involved in a worldwide education project aimed to propagate breast ultrasound examination knowledge.

This version of jedecma is part of that project and for this reason we decided to release it as free software, so interested people can try and use it.

While previous version of jedecma has been used for real, please be aware that the current version reflects the changes done in order to release it as Free Software and in this form it has never really been used.

This program has been developed in Java in GNU/Linux environment, although it can be used also under several nonfree operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OS X.
