Colibri conference management system
MainDownloadLinks
There are a few conference management systems that I know, because I tryied them as user or as administrator.
If you know some program that is not in the list, please let me know about it, reporting its pros and its cons!

START

I decided to write Colibrí after I heavily modified the first version of this tool.
It was a nice and efficient tool, used in many conferences. Unfortunately it was too simple, and many features I would have liked were missing. Since it is not under GPL license, I was no sure to have the permission of redistribute it, so I wrote a new tool from the scratch, changing language (START was in perl, Colibrí is in PHP), but using the experience I acquired on the START source code.
The version actually distributed seems to be not for free.

EDAS

EDAS is a server used to manage a huge amount of conferences. It has an impressive database of persons (I'm also in it), and is flexible and quite well tested (however, I know it has yet some minor problems).
It has a simple interface, but it is run on a centralized server. For this reason, I suppose you don't have much control on it!
Moreover, EDAS administrators charge for its use.

CyberChair

I've never tried this tool. However, its web page is really clear, and it offers an online demo, to test the tool.
I briefly entered in it, and I have to admit that the Chair page is quite cryptic!
