BrewTools

Hello and welcome to the BrewTools webpage. We'll be posting project updates here as they happen so keep an eye out for updates as time goes on. There are plans in the works for our first release version of the project by the end of this summer. Stay tuned!

As an introduction, Brewtools is a package to record, track progress of, and create recipes for brewing beer. The package allows the user to input their own recipes and ingredients and then track the progress of brews in the making. Included is a tool called the formulator which aides the user in creating new recipes based on familiar styles with user preferences. Preferences for this include things like alcohol content, color, and bitterness.

The project is currently in its infancy, but has plenty of mostly working code. It requires Python, PyGTK, and GTK+ to run, but a strong knowledge of programming and debugging is a big help at this point ;) If you'd like to take it for a test drive, go ahead and check out the CVS source tree.
